How to connect with Windows 7

  1. Open the Control Panel on Windows 7 by clicking on Start and then 'Control Panel'
  2. Please click on "Network and Internet". Double click to open it.
  3. Next, click on "Network and Sharing Center"
  4. Now, please click on 'Set up a new connection or Network'.
  5. On the next screen (Choose the Connection Type) Click on "Connect to a workplace" then click "Next"

    If asked to use an existing connection select 'No, create a new connection'. Now click "Use my Internet connection (VPN)"
    Now, enter the server information. click to see more important information. In the text box labeled 'Internet address' type the IP address provided in the welcome email. This is the Internet IP address of the servers.

    In the text box labeled 'Destination name' give it a name such as TVexpat. This is the name of the connection, and will show up in the "Connect to a network" screen when we're done.

    Make sure that the checkbox labeled "Don't connect now; just set it up so I can connect later" is checked.
    You can also put a check at "allow other people to use this connection"

    Then click the "Next" button.
  6. Enter your username and password that was sent to you in the welcome email & click create.
    Refer to the welcome email for your username & Password. Optionally, click "Remember this Password" to save your password as part of the connection. Click create!
  7. After you have made the setup, just go to your Windows "Control Panel/Network & Sharing centre".
  8. Click on "Change Adapter settings" on the left and you'll see the TVexpat connection you created. HOT TIP: Click on it once and drag it to your desktop to create a handy shortcut to use in future
  9. Now right click once on your TVexpat connection
  10. Click on "Properties"
  11. Select the "Security" tab and select either PPTP or L2TP from the first drop down. (Note : If select L2TP, click on Advance Settings and select "Preshared key for authentication" and put 12345678)
  12. Then from the second drop down, select "Optional Encryption".
  13. Then check "Allow these protocols" and only tick mark "CHAP" .

Your L2TP IPsec VPN connection is ready for use! To connect, simply click on the connection in the task bar and select the VPN connection. Click connect.
